A unit is classified and inspected against a defined standard before it can welcome guests, and the owner takes on operational obligations — among them a SIRA-approved smart lock on Dubai’s Keyless system, insurance covering guest-related damage, and registering each guest check-in in the Holiday Homes (HH 2.0) system within three hours of arrival. Designing with that in mind means delivering a complete, well-presented unit rather than a half-finished one.
A few of those operating details have a direct bearing on how a unit is designed and presented. Holiday homes are classified as Standard or Deluxe, and the classification carries a per-bedroom, per-night tourism fee — the Tourism Dirham — that the host collects from guests, so the standard of finish a unit is built to is also, in effect, a positioning decision. A holiday-home QR code is displayed on the outside of the entrance door, beneath the DEWA premise plaque, which is one more reason the entrance should be planned rather than left as an afterthought.
